Just in time for spring, John Varvatos is launching a new fragrance for Women, Artisan. Evoking the aroma of pure, fresh, springtime air. Artisan is Varvatos’ third men’s perfume. Varvatos worked with perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux to develop Artisan and the fragrance contains notes of tangelo, winter mandarin oranges, clementines, thyme, marjoram, lavandin, North African orange blossom, Indian murraya (reportedly used for the first time in a men’s fragrance), a trio of gingers, including an engineered “purple ginger” from Givaudan, belambre, kephalis, serenolide and georgywood. The first minutes of Artisan’s development smell of orange peels and pulp, brisk, clean, and juicy. After the green notes disappear, we’re left with the scents of orange blossoms that aren't not too sweet. Artisan’s floral notes never completely fade away. They are noticeable from start to finish and are completely satisfying. The perfume flask is encased in a beautiful hand-made and distressed rattan outer-covering in reference to antique perfume casings.
Perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux explained about the scent, "I was inspired by the idea of hand-picked fruit and hand-picked flowers, but taken into the twenty-first century."

An eau de toilette will be available in two sizes: 4.2 oz.and 2.5 oz. A 2.6-oz. deodorant stick will also be available.
