S by Shakira opens with sensual top notes of jasmine, fresh and very feminine. Shakira said, "I have always been charmed with the aroma of the fresh jasmine in summer evenings." Each bloom is said to reflect her vibrance and spontaneity. Diving into a deep oriental heart of benzoin resin, amber and vanilla, S for women reinterprets with a Middle and Far Eastern aromatic blend; symbolizing Shakiras cultural roots. She said, "I have always liked sweet and re comforting aromas as the honey, the chocolate or the strawberries. Essences that transport our senses". A tantalizing base of mysterious sandalwood sets an ambrosial tone. "There is something sensual and mysterious in the aroma of the sandalwood, which I wanted to contribute to the fragrance," Shakira continued.
