The perfume is presented as a "revisited masculine" and an illustration of the "cheeky temperament that spices have when put in the feminine". The perfume is said to rely on the secret fresh spiciness of sweet pea...

The fragrance was composed by perfumers Christine Nagel and Benoist Lapouza of Fragrance Resources. The composition promises to offer unexpected phases of development while keeping the spicy theme running throughout in a perfume offering a blended and sensual feel.

Si Lolita opens on top notes of pink pepper, bergamot, mandarin leading to a floral heart with notes of wallflower, snow pea and heliotrope. The base notes rest on elemi, amber, patchouli, tonka bean.

If the first fragrance featured a caramelized red apple, the new version goes for more freshness by replacing that central note with a tart and crunchy Granny-Smith one. The scent promises to be both creamy and a bit tart. The cherries and almonds notes are fast becoming the new smell du jour in perfumes for young women. This ubiquitous accord is to be found this season in Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire but also Lolita Lempicka Amrena Whim, a limited-edition, which is much better than the Lolita Fleur Défendue of last year which also had those notes. Let us not forget Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy. The red bottle turns green for the occasion making it look more like the original DKNY Be Delicious.

The new flanker by Nina Ricci smells like the green vernal dress that Nina has decided to wear for spring 09 instead of its pink-red one. It is an extremely logical composition with a rotating note in it. The summary of the olfactory idea is simply that of a milky toffee apple that has gone green and barely fresher so as to keep the original decadent sweetness intact.
