Celebrity Makeup Secrets and Reviews

Here is your chance to look like your favorite stars! These summer must haves are HOT!

Sexiest Red Lips
Reese WitherSpoon

To give this rich red all night staying power, makeup pro Angela Lenvin feathered foundation around the star's lip line, then slicked on a creamy opaque red. Not only does Reese have beauty, she also has brains, power and two kids! A self proclaimed, over-achiever with a Type A personality!

She uses Cle De Peau Beaute cream foundation and LipFusion Glam by Beauty Fusion.

For lips and eyes:

1. Begin with foundation and concealer on clean and exfoliated skin. Apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Also use a dab of concealer to the eyelid as an eye shadow base. Then apply a little bit more foundation to uneven areas of your face. Here, Reese is wearing Cover Girl Clean Liquid Makeup in Natural Ivory.

2. On your eyes, opt for a pearly, light gold or beige shadow and sweep it from lid to crease. Also sweep a thin line of this shade right against the lower lash line.

3. Begin by applying one coat of the lipstick to your lips and then blot them with tissue and apply a second coat for staying power. As a final touch line your lips lightly and blend the color into your lipstick. Reese has on a gorgeous L'Oreal Colour Riche Luminous Creme Lipcolor in Drumbeat Red along with Ulta Contour Lip Liner in Beet.

Coolest Cat Eyes
Megan Fox

Makeup artist Monika Blunder extends Mega;s eye liner 1.4 past outer corner. She then uses makeup swabs to clean the edges for a "polished, vampy" effect.

She uses Dior Style Liner in Noir Black and Bare Escentuals On the Spot make up remover swabs.

For Megan's look, apply a yellow-based concealer a few shades lighter than the skin to conceal dark circles. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend a white shadow from the lash line to the eyebrow and apply a smoky charcoal shadow into the crease.

Girl Next Door
Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner holds to title to the beauty next door look. The actress revealed some of her favorite beauty products in Marie Claire magazine, most of which are Neutrogena products since she’s one of the spokeswomen. (Neutrogena MoistureShine Lip Stick in Angel’s Blush and Think Pink, Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock Lotion, Nerida Joy Facials) To create Jennifer’s jewel-toned eyes, use NEW Nourishing Eye Shadow Duos in Honey Nut, brushing the accent shade over the entire lid up to the brow bone. To finish off the look, apply a pink moisture-infused lip color.

Naturally Plump Lips

Scarlett Johansson’s makeup artist Matthew Van Leeuwen uses a wet wash cloth to exfoliate her lips with horizontal strokes. This increases circulation and temporarily plumps up lips. Then he applies gloss for the finishing touch.

Glowing Eyes

Kate Hudson’s makeup artist, Leslie Lopez, feels that sometimes smoky eyes are a bit much for fair-skinned gals. She uses pale gold shadow and gray eye liner instead. “The effect is subtle but sexy”, she says.

Use Two Brow Colors

Natalie Portman’s makeup artist, Jeanine Lobell recommends using less brow color where brows are thickest. She uses a taupe shade to fill in her brows from the inner corners to the arches and a soft brown from the arches to the ends. If you blend these two shades together your brows will have a more natural look.

Create a Natural Flush

Mischa Barton’s makeup artist Nick Barose blends a sheer liquid foundation on top of a cream blush to mimic a natural blush, “as if blood is rushing to your cheeks”.

How To Apply Eye Liner- Tips For Gorgeous Looking Eyes

Looking great has never been easier. To accomplish a great look, just add Eye Liner! Liquid eye liner can enhance even the smallest of eyes. Since you don't want to over do it, here are some tips to help you achieve those gorgeous eyes you have been searching for!

Liquid Eye Liner:

Step 1: Start with a completely bare eye, no shadow or mascara.

Step 2: Apply liquid liner in the upper lashes. Dot the liner into lashes, pushing them aside if need be. The result is not supposed to be a line. It's supposed to look as if the lashes themselves are super thick at the root.

Step 3: Apply mascara.

Step 4: Compare eye to other naked eye and see if you love the results.

Weekend Eye Liner:

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid, apply eyeliner from the outside corner of the eye, stopping two-thirds of the way along the eyelid. Apply with short strokes, drawing the line into the lash line rather than above it. For a more dramatic look, make the outside line a bit thicker than the inside.

Step 2: Set liner with a deep eyeshadow. Dip eyeshadow brush into the shadow, then apply shadow over the eyeliner. This will set the eyeliner, which tends to rub off on eyelid.

Apply eyeshadow to lower lashes. Using your eyeshadow brush, apply the deep-hued eyeshadow along the bottom lashes, from the outside in. Unless you have wide-set eyes, don't line the entire lower lid. Instead, stop halfway across. For a more natural look, don't dip the brush into the shadow again, instead, use the excess that's still on the brush for the lower lashes.

Step 4: Clean up any mistakes with a cotton swab.

* To make eyes appear wider, trace the inner rims of eyes with a white pencil.

The Smoky Eye:

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid, apply eyeliner from the inside corner of the eye outward. Draw strokes into the lash line. The middle of the line should be a bit thicker than the edges.

Step 2: Use a cotton swap (or your finger, if you're lazy like me) to "smudge" the liner.

Step 3: Dab an eyeshadow brush into a deep-hued eyeshadow and apply over the eyeliner to set the line. (Blow on the brush first to remove any excess shadow). Layering liner with a shadow is the secret to a perfect smoky eye.

Step 4: Blend Shadow

The Bold Eye:

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid, apply the liquid liner from the middle of the eye to the outside corner of the eye.

Step 2: Draw a second line from the inside corner of your eye, letting the two lines meet. The outer edge of the line should be thicker than the inside. If you have close-set eyes, avoid taking the line all the way to the inside corner.

Cat Eyes:

Step 1: Holding the skin of your upper lid taut, dot liquid liner along the upper lash line as close to the eye as possible. Apply line from corner to corner of eye, extending the line upward at the outer corner of eye. Let liner dry for a few minutes before touching.

To soften this look (black liquid liner can be harsh), InStyle Magazine suggests trying a smudgeable pencil in a lighter color like dark brown or charcoal.

Step 2: Hold down the lower lid and apply liner only to the outer three quarters of the rim. Fade out the line as you approach the tear duct, according to makeup artist Mally Roncal in the March 2006 edition of InStyle Magazine. Extend the liner upwards at the outer corners.

For a softer version of this look, use an eye shadow brush and sweep a taupe or brown color on the lower lash line.
