Hard-core fans might be a little disappointed there is no great relation to the classic 1974 Eau de Toilette Cristalle composition scent, despite the notes, and neither to the intentionally different more chypre floral Eau de Pafum version from 1993. Three new fragrances by the house of Sisley have been presented. They are sparkling and simple in their elegance, just like a beautiful summer dress teased by breezes that move its pleats. The fragrances were created as three sisters or three faces of the same woman and they are marked with numbers – 1, 2 and 3.

Sisley Eau de 1 stimulates and introduces liveliness in the very beginning of the fragrance, with notes of green mandarin, grapefruit, pink pepper and spices. A heart is created as floral, powerful, sunny and composed of aquatic jasmine, green tea and juniper berries, while base notes are characterized with chypre accords of patchouli and musk.

Sisley Eau de 2 is created as fresh and clean. It starts with a green sonata of bergamot, basil and cardamom, adding aquatic iris, Egyptian jasmine, cyclamen and rose, whereas base notes comprise depth and a warm trail of a chypre-woody combination of patchouli, cedar, vetiver and sandalwood.

Sisley Eau de 3 attracts mysteriously with its luminous and cheerful citruses, a mixture of bergamot, mandarin, grapefruit and lemon. A heart provokes with purple ginger, along with osmanthus, while a base encompasses elegant and classy notes of accentuated patchouli, vetiver, benzoin, vanilla and musk.

The flacons are made of glass, with a stopper characteristic of the Sisley brand. The stopper was designed by Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof. All three fragrances are available as 100ml (3, 4 oz) Eau De Parfum and they arrive on the market in April 2009.

The fruity-floral juice opens on notes of passion fruit, redcurrant and rhubarb, leading to a heart of passion flower, jasmine and wild rose. The dry-down combines musk and cedar wood. The signature spinning-top bottle is decorated with a floral mother-of-pearl charm bracelet. The outer carton is coloured a bright sky-blue, with fuchsia detailing.

Yves Saint Laurent Baby Doll Magic Honeymoon will be available March 2009 in 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

About the House of Yves Saint Laurent:

Yves Saint Laurent went to work for Christian Dior in 1954. After Dior's death, he became the Haute Couture designer for the house. He founded his own line in 1962. His fashion innovations are too numerous to list here, but he popularized tuxedos and stylish pantsuits for women, peasant blouses and safari jackets; Vogue has called him "arguably the industry's greatest designer". He retired from ready-to-wear in 1999 when the Yves Saint Laurent label was sold to Gucci, and retired from haute couture in 2002. Saint Laurent passed away in 2008.

Mythique begins on fresh notes of Italian bergamot, mandarin and ivy while in the heart accords of jasmine Sambac, peony and Florentine iris conspire for a softened, sfumato effect. The base is played on sensuous notes of sandalwood, Indian patchouli and ambrette seeds.
