Spurred by her success with ladies perfumes, Australia's own Kylie has released a men fragrance named Inverse. Kylie Minogue has been putting out a number of perfumes under her name since her debut one Darling in 2006. The singer had said in the past that she wanted to do a men's fragrance for beau Olivier Martinez on what turned out to be the eve of her breakup with her then boyfriend. In 2009, she creates new men's fragrance featuring new boyfriend Spanish model Andres Velencoso Segura who looks not unlike Olivier Martinez. Her new fragrance is called, Inverse.

Inverse features notes of lavender, cardamom, coriander, pepper, mint, star anise, blood orange, benzoin, nutmeg, tonka bean, heliotrope, labdanum, cedar, amber, musk, evaporated milk and patchouli. Kylie states that it is quite natural that the collection ges the first masculine representative after several perfumes for women. Inverse is intensive, funny and sexy, dedicated to each man strong enough to stay true to himself.

Inverse shows the opposites presented on the flacon. Rectangular flacon design is crowned with a metal stopper. The light and dark side reflect the theme of the fragrance and it contrasts: gentle and strong, day and night. It's modern and sleek.

Polo Modern Reserve erases green notes, replaces chamomile with cardamom, tobacco with vetiver-leather, juniper berries with pimento berries, and frankincense with myrrh incense. (Other listed notes for Polo Modern Reserve are basil, liquid jasmine, humidor wood, patchouli and ‘sueded’ leather.) Like Polo, Polo Modern Reserve was developed by perfumer Carlos Benaïm.

Leslie Marino, general manager of L’Oréal Designer Fragrance Division, said Polo Modern Reserve is “…a little stronger and more masculine” and uses “purer raw materials” than Polo.

Polo Modern Reserve Eau de Toilette is available in two sizes: 120 ml and a limited edition 240 ml Eau de Toilette in a numbered leather box with 24-karat-gold details on the box and bottle.
